Resourcery Group are working with a growing Manchester based business who are looking for a skilled individual to join their team in the role of Financial Accountant - producing Management Accounts. This is a newly created position to work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director during a forecasted period of significant growth. You will have a broad set of responsibilities with an emphasis on producing Management Accounts with multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
  • Working with multiple trading entities to produce monthly MI reports and feed into the group management account packs
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations for annual audits
  • Support the budgeting process and contribute to financial forecasting efforts
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure the group's financial practices are compliant
  • Coordinating the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teams
  • Managing and coordinating VAT reporting processes, including preparation and submission
  • Analysing the group structure to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
  • Working on streamlining the group structure by closing down entities that are no longer required

Candidate profile:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or finalist level
  • Previous experience within management accounts or account preparation environment
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent excel skills - modelling and data manipulation
