At RES, we are driving transformation through the power of data and insights – and we’re looking for a visionary Reporting and Analytics Lead to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you will design and deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready data modelling, reporting and analytics through our Azure platform, serving as the single source of truth for our enterprise. Your mission: empower teams across the business with reliable, real-time insights that drive smarter, faster, and more impactful decisions.
You’ll sit within our Data & Analytics function, collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to shape strategy and implement robust global reporting and analytics at scale. You will own and lead the global reporting and analytics delivery capability and standards, ensuring dashboards and reports are aligned to business priorities, built on governed data products, and delivered with strong adoption and change management. You will lead and deliver modelling, reporting and analytics and line-manage, coach and mentor team members delivering the work.
Accountabilities:
- Own Group reporting, modelling and analytics across the globe, including prioritisation, standards, delivery approach and adoption metrics.
- Lead BI platform governance: workspace structure, release management, certification, lifecycle and performance standards.
- Leadership and line management of modelling, reporting and Power BI staff in the data team and build a high-performing team.
- Define and enforce reporting standards. Manage reporting delivery across domains, ensuring traceability from requirements to semantic model to published report.
- Partner with stakeholders to shape use cases, success measures and iterative plans.
- Enable self-service safely: training, templates, guardrails, and approval workflows for sensitive data.
- Be at the forefront of the latest tools, technologies and techniques in reporting and analytics.
- Champion AI-enabled analytics with appropriate controls.
- Measure and improve value realisation: adoption, time saved, reduced manual reporting and stakeholder satisfaction.
Skills:
- Expertise in enterprise BI delivery and operating models (governance, release, performance, adoption).
- Advanced technical skills in the hands-on delivery of reporting and analytics using Microsoft Azure, Synapse and Power BI and other tools.
- Highly skilled in semantic modelling and building consistent metrics and reporting layers.
- Capability to lead product-style delivery: backlogs, user stories, prioritisation, stakeholder management.
- Strong data visualisation and UX principles; ability to critique and uplift reporting quality.
- High level of skill and knowledge of data privacy and security considerations for reporting and self-service.
- Leadership, coaching and skills.
- Working knowledge and skills in AI and machine learning applications in analytics and reporting, including responsible use controls.
- Effective communicator with strong influencing, negotiating and relationship-building skills; ability to articulate complex work to executives and translate complex data into meaningful insight for non-technical audiences.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and lead through change.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to delivery and data teams across different reporting and analytics platforms.
- High attention to detail, integrity and a commitment to ethical data use.
- Strong executive written documentation, planning, organisation, prioritisation and design governance, and discipline.
- Passionate about data and innovative to enable RES to stay ahead of and implement global best practice in modern, scalable and future-proof reporting and analytics.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in data analytics, data science etc.
- Extensive experience in data reporting and analytics in a global organisation, with a track record of delivering secure, high-value global data solutions.
- Experience leading reporting/BI functions in a global enterprise environment.
- Experience in leadership and line management of a data reporting and analytics team driving high performance, accountability, innovation and the latest technology for automation, cost efficiency and innovation.
- Track record delivering executive and operational reporting with high adoption and measurable business impact; consistent delivery of strong outcomes/outputs and ROI.
- Extensive experience implementing Microsoft Azure and Power BI products and governance and self-service frameworks at scale.
- In-depth knowledge and practical implementation of compliance frameworks and global employment regulations.
- Knowledge of global data standardisation frameworks for harmonising data definitions, taxonomies, and formats across regions.
- Proven experience in data modelling, reporting and analytics for IFS (RES’s enterprise ERP system) and extensive experience in financial and human resources data, corporate services multiple system integration data architecture in a global context.
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics capabilities and integration with governed data platforms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, alongside technical breadth in data modelling, reporting and analytics.
- Extensive experience briefing executive leaders and running reporting and analytics programmes across the world.
