The Position
The Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling RES’s Wind Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services across the Northern Europe region. The role focuses on building strong relationships with wind asset owners and operators, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful expansion of RES’s O&M services. This position requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including operations, bid management, and engineering, to deliver tailored solutions that meet the operational needs of wind farms.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Wind O&M services, aligned with RES’s business goals for the Northern Europe region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including long‑term contracts for maintenance, large corrective services, and performance optimisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including asset owners, project developers, and other relevant industry players.
- Lead negotiations for service contracts, ensuring favourable terms for both clients and RES, and prepare and present tailored proposals to prospective customers.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regional regulations affecting wind energy and O&M services in Northern Europe.
- Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure services offered meet client needs and are aligned with RES’s O&M capabilities.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain records of sales activities and client interactions, reporting progress to senior management on a regular basis.
Knowledge
- In‑depth knowledge of the wind energy sector, specifically related to operation and maintenance services for wind turbines and wind farms.
- Strong understanding of wind turbine technologies, O&M best practices, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Familiarity with service contracts, warranties, and relevant Northern European regulations governing renewable energy, particularly in the wind sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sales cycles in the B2B environment, from prospecting through to contract execution.

- Experience working in Northern Europe with an understanding of the regional wind energy market dynamics and key players.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree would be advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in an additional Northern European language (e.g., Danish, German, Swedish) is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications in sales, energy management, or wind energy operations would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for monitoring, diagnosing, and reporting on wind system performance is desirable.
