The position

This role supports the Northern Europe Asset Management business within commercial asset management, focusing on protecting clients and maximizing project net asset value. Key duties include owner interaction, contract management, insurance claims support, tool creation, performance forecasting, and continuous improvement. The role covers Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage technologies and may involve travel within Northern Europe.

Accountabilities

  • Support the northern Europe asset management business to increase the net asset value of renewable energy assets.
  • Provide high quality management of ongoing contracts with suppliers, consultants, and sub‑contractors.
  • Manage a portfolio of renewable energy project contracts through the contract life‑cycle.
  • Lead tenders for new services and renewals, including contract negotiations, drafting terms, and liaising with clients and legal teams.
  • Review contract performance, including supplier performance calculations and bonus or liquidated damages.
  • Resolve commercial issues with key stakeholders, including KPI management and supplier meetings.
  • Manage commercial framework aspects such as insurance, warranty, and material disputes.
  • Manage client contract portfolios, attend client meetings, report status, and provide contract and commercial advice.
  • Review contractual terms to support and advise asset managers on queries, including upgrades, performance, insurance claims, PPA obligations, AMA scope, and ad‑hoc topics.
  • Review physical defects and contract warranties, draft defect notices, and follow through to completion.
  • Lead adoption of new projects to ensure they are ‘Operations Ready’.
  • Capture lessons learnt and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend supplier and client meetings, take minutes, and update documentation.
  • Maintain contract management tools and trackers.

Knowledge

  • Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Docusign.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape within Northern Europe.
  • Knowledge of subcontracting and tendering processes.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy contracts.
  • Awareness of HSQE requirements is an advantage.

Skills

  • Highly organized, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with technical and legal documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong commercial problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to identify and summarize key contractual provisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Experience

  • Previous commercial and contract management experience preferred.
  • Experience in construction, asset management, or renewables preferred.
  • Experience managing O&M contracts, PPAs, construction, or major component supply contracts.
  • Experience resolving disputes between parties.
  • Experience handling insurance claims.

Qualifications

  • Any relevant business, contract, management, or renewable qualification.
  • Degree/HND level education preferred but not required.
