Position

This role supports the Northern Europe Asset Management business within commercial asset management. It focuses on protecting clients’ and investors’ interests by maximizing projects’ net asset value through contract management, tendering, procurement, value optimisation and continuous improvement across all RES technologies – Solar, Wind and Energy Storage.

Accountabilities

  • Support the Northern Europe asset management business to increase the net asset value of renewable energy assets.
  • Provide high‑quality management of ongoing contracts with existing suppliers, consultants and sub‑contractors.
  • Manage a portfolio of renewable energy project contracts through the contract lifecycle.
  • Lead tenders for new services and renewals, including contract negotiations and drafting of terms.
  • Review performance of contracts, calculate supplier performance, bonus and liquidated damage outcomes.
  • Resolve commercial issues with key stakeholders, including KPIs, liquidated damages and bonus payments.
  • Lead on insurance claims, warranty claims and material disputes.
  • Manage a client’s portfolio of contracts, attend client meetings, report on status and provide commercial advice.
  • Review contractual terms to support asset managers on specific queries (upgrades, performance, insurance claims, PPA obligations, AMA scope, other ad‑hoc topics).
  • Investigate physical defects and performance against contract warranties, draft notices of defect and non‑conformance, and follow through to completion.
  • Support integration and adoption of new projects to ensure they are “Operations Ready”; act as Adoption Lead if required.
  • Capture lessons learned and support Asset Management Department continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend internal, external supplier and client meetings, take minutes and update documentation.
  • Maintain contract management tools and trackers.

Knowledge

  • Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Docusign.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape within Northern Europe.
  • Knowledge of subcontracting and tendering processes.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy contracts.
  • Awareness of HSQE requirements is an advantage.

Skills

  • Highly organised, able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail, especially with technical and legal documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship and commercial problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and summarise key contractual provisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Experience

  • Previous commercial and contract management experience preferable.
  • Experience in construction, asset management or renewables preferable.
  • Experience managing O&M contracts, PPAs, construction and major component supply contracts.
  • Experience resolving disputes between parties.
  • Experience handling insurance claims.

Qualifications

  • Any relevant business, contract, management or renewable qualifications.
  • Degree/HND level education preferable but not absolute requirement.
