Position: Turbine O&M Technician (based near Campbeltown, Scotland)

Responsibilities

  • Support Turbine O&M Team in delivery of specific projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements.
  • Develop high‑quality maintenance activities and contribute positively to business development.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with customers and team.
  • Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other client‑required procedures.
  • Maintain health, safety, quality and environmental awareness.
  • Travel within the UK & Ireland as required.
  • Assist in resolution of on‑site technical issues and implement technical improvements.
  • Lead main component replacements and conduct technical auditing & assessments.
  • Prepare reporting templates and other technical documentation.
  • Develop and deliver specific in‑house technical training.

Knowledge

  • Turbine O&M background – Vestas/Siemens technologies.
  • Team leader experience.
  • Co‑ordination of subcontractors.
  • Health & Safety awareness (RA, CoSSH, MS).
  • WTSR knowledge.

Skills

  • Mechanical or Electrical fault finding.
  • Use of hydraulic tooling.
  • Blade repairs.
  • Good communication written & verbal.
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reporting.

Experience

  • Wind Turbine maintenance.
  • Large component exchange.
  • Managing heavy lifting.
  • Working at height.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Qualification (minimum level 3 NVQ).
