About the Role
We’re seeking a mixed tax and accounting professional to manage UK tax compliance and reporting. The role is ideal for someone experienced with corporation tax, employment taxes and VAT. Experience of transfer pricing and OECD Pillar II would be valuable. Whilst Resolution Life is a global insurance group, knowledge of financial services whilst helpful is not a pre-requisite for this role. The hire would also have involvement in tax compliance and reporting in other jurisdictions such as Bermuda, Singapore, Canada and Switzerland. There are opportunities at Resolution Life to get involved with advisory projects such as restructuring, financing and M&A, and to develop your expertise in cross-border and international tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the UK corporate tax returns & provisions process
- Manage tax filings in Canada, Switzerland, and Singapore including liaison with local advisers
- Liaise with Finance to prepare UK VAT returns
- Assist with UK employment tax matters (e.g., annual PAYE settlement agreement, assisting with assignments etc)
- Prepare/maintain transfer pricing documentation
- Assist with Bermuda Corporate Income Tax compliance
- Assist with Pillar 2 compliance
What You’ll Need
- 4+ years experience with UK tax compliance and reporting
- An accounting qualification is a must
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including good business partnership skills with colleagues in Finance, HR and Legal
- Problem solving skills including willingness to learn and take on new challenges
