Are you a skilled Oracle Database Administrator ready to take ownership of critical systems that power operations across Europe? We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented DBA to join our team based in Market Harborough. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting databases that underpin customer sites across the continent.

About the Role:

As a Database Administrator, you’ll manage, support, and enhance Oracle database environments spanning development, testing, and production. You’ll work closely with System Administrators to ensure our IT infrastructure remains robust, secure, and high-performing. Once settled in, you’ll have the flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating and maintaining Oracle databases across the business
  • Performing capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Installing, patching, and upgrading Oracle RDBMS and related tools
  • Planning and implementing backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
  • Managing Oracle DataGuard and GoldenGate installations
  • Supporting new database projects and development environments
  • Administering security, resource allocation, and database objects
  • Conducting impact analysis, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations (AWR)
  • Writing and maintaining SQL and shell scripts
  • Collaborating with customer support and internal IT teams
  • Participating in managed services implementation across the wider business
