ReQuire are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Warminster who are looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer for their impressive site. This is a hands-on, varied engineering role within a successful and expanding manufacturing business. As the sole Maintenance Engineer on site, you will play a key role in maintaining production performance, improving equipment reliability, and supporting ongoing engineering improvement projects. The Role

  • You will be responsible for maintaining production machinery and site facilities, minimising downtime, and supporting operational efficiency across the business.
  • Alongside reactive and planned maintenance, you will support engineering improvements, machinery upgrades, and site projects aimed at improving performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machinery reliability and operational performance.
  • Maintain production equipment, mechanical systems, and facilities infrastructure.
  • Assist with engineering and re-engineering projects across the site.
  • Support machinery upgrades, process improvements, and new product development activities.
  • Work closely with production and operational teams to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain engineering records, maintenance documentation, and procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with equipment suppliers and external contractors.
  • Promote safe working practices and support Health & Safety initiatives across the site.

About You

We are looking for a practical, proactive, and adaptable engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across a wide variety of engineering activities. You may currently be working as a:

  • Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Mechanical Engineer
  • Manufacturing Engineer
  • Production Engineer
  • Facilities Engineer
  • Service or Field Engineer looking to move into a site-based role.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and/or electrical maintenance skills.
  • Experience fault-finding and troubleshooting machinery and equipment.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

  • Experience with PLCs, CNC machinery, or automated equipment.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
  • Facilities or building maintenance experience.
  • Health & Safety awareness within an engineering environment.
