We are working exclusively with our client to recruit a dynamic Engineering Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in logistics, warehouse operations, and supply chain optimisation.
Summary of the role
As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing engineering and operational performance, ensuring processes run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. You’ll be responsible for leading teams, improving systems, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support seamless operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering and operational teams to achieve performance targets
- Drive continuous improvement across logistics, warehouse, and supply chain processes
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively to deliver value
- Oversee materials management to ensure efficiency and availability
- Implement and optimise systems
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational standards
- Support strategic initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs
About you
- Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong background in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
- Skilled in vendor negotiation and supplier management
- Experience using ERP systems (IFS preferred)
- A confident, personable leader who motivates and develops teams
- Results-driven with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm | Friday 08:00am - 3:45pm (39hrs a week)
