The Role:
- Acting as a trusted HR adviser to the Executive Team and managers

- Monitoring HR information including turnover, absence and appraisals
- Supporting safer recruitment and safeguarding practices
- Managing and developing the part-time HR Officer
- Ensuring HR practices remain compliant and fit for purpose
- Bringing the people perspective to wider organisational strategy
About You:
We're looking for an experienced HR professional who has operated at HR Manager, Head of HR, Senior HR Business Partner, People Lead or a comparable level. Chartered CIPD membership is an essential requirement, so you'll need to be a Chartered Member (Chartered MCIPD) or Chartered Fellow (Chartered FCIPD). You’ll also bring:
- Broad generalist HR experience at managerial level
- Strong and current UK employment law knowledge
- Confidence handling complex employee relations matters
- Experience advising and influencing senior managers
- A pragmatic and relational approach to HR
- Experience managing and developing others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgement, discretion and resilience
- The ability to build trusted relationships across an organisation
Experience of safeguarding or working alongside volunteers would be useful, but isn't essential. What matters more is your ability to understand and support the purpose and values of the organisation and bring an approachable, thoughtful and professional style to the role.
The Package:
You will receive:
- £36,000 salary for 28 hours per week (£45,000 FTE)
- Genuine flexibility
- Significant opportunity to work from home
- The freedom to work more remotely during periods such as school holidays
- A warm, supportive and trusting working culture
- 27 days' holiday (pro rata), including your birthday off, plus bank holidays
