An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a unique and inspiring organisation based in the heart of Salisbury. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives on continuous improvement and enjoys the autonomy to streamline processes, implement new systems and influence positive change. You will work closely with the recently appointed Chief Operating Officer and be a trusted member of a small, supportive team where your ideas will be valued.
THE ROLEAs Finance Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations, driving improvements to internal controls, reporting and finance processes. You’ll manage one Finance Officer and act as a key internal partner to the leadership team.
Responsibilities include:- Lead day-to-day finance operations and proactively enhance procedures and internal controls.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
- Coordinate annual budget preparation, forecasting and year-end financial accounts.
- Manage VAT returns, tax activities, insurance and investment matters.
- Oversee payroll, employment records and liaise with the HR consultant when required.
- Act as Data Protection Officer and ensure secure handling of contracts and sensitive data.
- Review financial software and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost improvement.
- Support the Executive Team with KPI development and reporting.
- Manage relationships with tenants and external property agents.
