ReQuire Consultancy is recruiting for a successful, award-winning family business looking to add a Workshop Operative & Fitter to their established team.
This is a varied, hands-on role split between working within the production workshop and heading out with the fitting team to install high-quality stone products in customers' homes and properties.
You certainly don't need to arrive as the finished article. We're looking for someone practical, reliable and comfortable with physical work who wants to learn, develop and become genuinely skilled at what they do.
What you'll be doing
When you're out with the fitting team, you'll help prepare and complete installations, handle materials, use tools and work alongside experienced fitters.
Back at the workshop, you'll get involved in the manufacturing side of the business, learning different skills and processes involved in producing and finishing the products before they leave for installation.
Your role will include:

Travelling to customer sites and assisting with installations

Loading and unloading products, tools and equipment

Preparing areas ready for fitting

Handling and fitting high-quality stone products

Using a range of hand and power tools

Working within the production workshop when not out fitting

Learning different manufacturing and finishing processes

Working carefully and professionally in customers' homes

Developing your skills across both production and installation
Who are we looking for?
You may already have experience in manufacturing, workshop production, fitting, construction, landscaping, joinery, warehousing or another practical environment.
More importantly, you'll need to:

Enjoy practical, physical work

Be reliable and willing to get stuck in

Take pride in doing a job properly

Be comfortable using tools and learning new skills

Work well as part of a small team

Be polite and professional around customers

Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport to get to and from work
