ReQuire is delighted to be recruiting exclusively on behalf of a well-established British manufacturer for an experienced Warehouse Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys being out on the warehouse floor, developing people and driving operational excellence. You'll take ownership of a busy warehouse operation, leading a team of around 20 warehouse operatives, ensuring the warehouse runs safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Whilst you'll oversee the coordination of goods coming into and leaving the business, this role is first and foremost about people leadership, warehouse operations and continuous improvement. The Role
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of approximately 20 warehouse operatives
- Managing all warehouse operations including goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through stock control, cycle counts and audits
- Driving warehouse performance through KPIs, continuous improvement and best practice
- Working closely with Production, Planning and Customer Service to ensure materials and finished goods flow efficiently
- Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries to support production and customer requirements
- Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety, housekeeping and compliance across the warehouse
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and team performance
About You
- Proven experience leading warehouse teams
- A hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people
- Strong warehouse operations, stock control and inventory management experience
- Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- A commitment to maintaining high Health & Safety standards
