Our client is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented individual to join their dynamic Operations Team as a Finance & Operations Analyst on a fixed-term contract. This is a varied and intellectually engaging role suited to a numerate and tech-savvy candidate who enjoys working across systems, finance processes, and data.

You will support both the credit control and finance functions while playing a key part in helping the team maintain best-in-class processes and reporting. You’ll be given space to apply your analytical thinking, improve how things are done, and contribute meaningfully to operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Account & Credit Management
  • Monitor and manage debtor balances, identifying risk areas
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Chase overdue accounts via email or written communication
  • Liaise with external collection agencies where needed
  • Maintain and implement robust credit control procedures
  • Finance Operations Support
    • Post and match incoming payments to remittances
    • Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
    • Work closely with Financial Controllers on reporting and processing
    • Assist in bookkeeping and operational finance admin
  • Reporting & Systems
    • Prepare regular aged debt and cash flow reports
    • Analyse credit risk trends and propose improvements
    • Contribute to the migration and optimisation of finance systems
    • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting for the wider operations team
    About You

    We’re looking for someone with a high level of initiative, accuracy, and curiosity—someone who wants to add real value and improve the way we do things.

    Ideal background:
    • A numerate degree (e.g. Maths, Economics, Accounting) OR relevant finance/credit control experience
    • Comfortable with financial principles (credit/debit, reconciliations, etc.)
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Quick to pick up new systems and processes
    • Highly organised and proactive, able to manage workload independently
    • Excellent written communication—clear, professional, and courteous
    • Logical thinker with problem-solving drive
