As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the smooth running of financial operations across multiple areas, including ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting processes within a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, credit notes, and receipts across sales and purchase ledgers
- Carrying out credit control activities and credit checks
- Reconciling purchase ledger payments for approval
- Managing cash book entries and performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting costing processes
- Generating and processing sales ledger invoices and applications for payment
- Using accounting systems such as Sage (training provided)
About You
- Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail with a methodical, logical approach
- Positive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
