Republic M is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Virtual Key Account Managers (vKAMs) to join our UK team. At Republic M, we are HCP Behaviour Change Experts. We partner with pharmaceutical companies to deliver innovative, insight-led and outcome-focused customer engagement through virtual channels. Our programmes support pharmaceutical brands through high-quality one-to-one selling, HCP engagement and peer-to-peer initiatives, either complementing existing field teams or operating as dedicated standalone solutions.
The Role
As a Virtual Key Account Manager, you’ll engage remotely with doctors and other healthcare professionals, delivering high-quality, compliant and impactful sales conversations aligned to client brand strategy. This is much more than simply making calls. You’ll use your pharmaceutical sales experience, commercial judgement and understanding of the NHS to build credibility, navigate access challenges and create meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals. You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality remote sales interactions with doctors and other HCPs
- Building credible professional relationships through virtual channels
- Communicating brand messages clearly, confidently and compliantly
- Using strong questioning and listening skills to understand customer needs
- Navigating gatekeepers and gaining access to target HCPs
- Applying account management principles and your understanding of the NHS environment
- Delivering excellent in-call performance and adapting your approach to different customer needs
- Working in line with brand strategy, the ABPI Code of Practice and relevant reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality documentation of customer interactions
- Collaborating with colleagues and client teams to deliver programme objectives
What We’re Looking For
You’ll already have experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, Key Account Manager or similar customer-facing pharmaceutical sales professional.
Essential:
- Current or previous ABPI qualification
- Proven pharmaceutical sales experience
- Strong understanding of the NHS and UK healthcare environment
- Demonstrable experience of engaging doctors and healthcare professionals
- Strong access skills, including confidence navigating gatekeepers
- Excellent in-call selling, questioning, listening and influencing skills
- A degree-level qualification, ideally in a science-related discipline
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment
The Person Behind the Experience
We’re looking for people who are:
- Resilient — you stay positive and focused when access is challenging.
- Proactive — you take ownership and create momentum.
- Engaging — you build rapport naturally and communicate with credibility.
- Commercially minded — you understand that great conversations should lead to meaningful outcomes.
- Adaptable — you’re comfortable working across different brands, therapy areas and customer types.
- Collaborative — you enjoy being part of a supportive team, even when working remotely.
- Curious — you’re open to feedback, learning and continuous development.
Why Join Republic M?
You’ll be joining a modern, agile and growing organisation that believes pharmaceutical customer engagement can be both highly effective and genuinely human. We offer:
- Fully remote working anywhere in the UK
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- The opportunity to work across varied pharmaceutical programmes and therapy areas
- A collaborative and supportive remote team culture
- Ongoing learning and development
- The chance to use your pharmaceutical sales expertise in a modern virtual environment
- A role where your communication skills, resilience and commercial impact really matter
