We are seeking a talented and driven Menswear Junior Designer specialising in Wovens with a strong interest in denim. In this role, you will take ownership of the design and development process for woven styles from initial concept through to final launch, ensuring all deadlines are met and quality standards upheld at every stage. Working closely with the Senior Designer, you will play a hands-on role in translating seasonal design direction into compelling, market-ready product.
Your understanding of woven fabrications, garment construction and finishing techniques, combined with a genuine passion for denim, and familiarity with denim-specific processes such as fabric weights, selvedge construction, wash development and laser and hand-finishing techniques will be a strong advantage. You will contribute to trend research, seasonal concept development and fabric and trim story building, bringing fresh and innovative ideas that evolve the brand's woven offer while remaining rooted in its identity.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with technical, sampling and sourcing teams, providing clear and detailed design briefs, reviewing and commenting on proto samples. This role calls for someone with a strong creative eye, solid knowledge of woven and denim product, and the organisational discipline to manage multiple styles across a fast-paced calendar. You are highly skilled in CAD drawing either in Procreate or Illustrator. This skill is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the design and development of woven styles from concept to final product, meeting all critical path deadlines and quality expectations.
- Ensure all woven product is aligned with brand direction and represents distinct design standards.
- Research and analyse emerging trends across menswear and denim.
- Collaborate with the Senior Designer to explore new woven fabric, denim wash, trim, and logo development opportunities.
- Prepare and present mood boards and seasonal design concepts, contributing actively to design direction meetings with fresh ideas and creative solutions.
- Produce tech packs to the highest standard, ensuring accurate factory translation and the delivery of quality prototypes.
- Participate in fit sessions and prototype reviews, supporting the Head of Mainline in leading these discussions with informed creative and technical input.
- Manage and independently organise your workload to meet design deadlines across a fast-paced seasonal calendar.
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure cohesive integration of design elements across woven product.
