Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to join our digital team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, deploying, and maintaining web applications using AEM, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable digital experiences. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading technical discussions, training junior developers, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement web applications and components using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5 or higher)
- Customise and configure AEM components, templates, workflows, and DAM
- Integrate AEM with other enterprise systems and third-party services
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals
- Lead code reviews, provide technical training, and enforce best development practices
- Optimise application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and scalability
- Stay updated on AEM and digital marketing technology trends, recommending improvements where appropriate
About the candidate:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on Adobe Experience Manager
- Hands-on experience with AEM architecture, CRX/DE, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Sightly/HTL
- Experience with AEM integrations (e.g., RESTful APIs, SSO, marketing automation tools)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile environments
- Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) – AEM Developer certification
- Preferably have experience with cloud-based AEM (AEMaaCS) and headless CMS implementations
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus
- Beneficial to have previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role
