Role overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Oracle APEX Developer to join our Defence and Security company. As a Junior to Mid-Level Oracle APEX Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that support the needs of our customers. You will work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, and contribute to the development of software solutions that enhance our national security. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal Oracle APEX applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements, and design effective solutions
- Create and maintain database objects, including tables, views, and stored procedures
- Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using Oracle APEX, adhering to best practices in application development
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards
- Perform code reviews and ensure that code is well-documented and follows coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing timely support to end-users
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in software development
- Collaborate with senior developers to learn and grow in the role, contributing to the success of the team and organisation
About the candidate:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Oracle APEX development
- Knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles
- Familiarity with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent teamwork abilities
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain a security clearance is required
