Role Overview: As Head of Accounts Payable, you will lead and transform the AP function across 30+ UK legal entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled processing of supplier transactions. You will drive automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement, leveraging SAP and AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability. Working as part of Reply's UK Finance function, you will collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Treasury teams to maintain strong financial operations and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, expenses, intercompany recharges, and PSA support
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing across all entities
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness
- Manage month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable
- Lead and develop a team of approximately eight staff, setting clear objectives and KPIs
- Drive automation and process standardisation initiatives, leveraging AI to improve efficiency
- Act as business owner for SAP AP processes, optimising system usage and performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements
About the Candidate:
- Significant experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations leadership roles
- Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational performance
- Strong experience delivering process automation and transformation initiatives
- Solid knowledge of financial controls within multi-entity environments
- Strong experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
- Process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
