As an Enterprise Architect Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and owning our enterprise architecture propositions and managed services. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing complex EA engagements, advising senior and C-suite clients, and helping to define the future of our EA capability. This is a manager level consulting role requiring deep experience across enterprise architecture, strong commercial acumen, proven leadership and the ability to influence and guide clients through strategy, change and transformation. This is a hybrid role either based in London or Manchester.
Responsibilities
- Own and oversee multiple Enterprise Architecture engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, quality, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior stakeholders, providing strategic EA leadership across business, application, technology, and data domains.
- Lead the development and delivery of key EA artefacts, including target architectures, roadmaps, capability models, technology portfolios, and governance frameworks.
- Define, build, and evolve Enterprise Architecture propositions, aligning with client needs and emerging industry trends.
- Act as a thought leader within the business unit, contributing insights on tooling, innovation, and market developments.
- Identify and shape new opportunities to develop long-term, profitable services, propositions, and products.
- Own revenue targets and drive business development through pipeline shaping, opportunity identification, and CXO-level bids and tenders.
- Build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships, driving value delivery and commercial growth.
- Provide line management, coaching, and development for EA consultants, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Support wider business initiatives, including recruitment, training, network building, and acting as deputy to the Business Unit Manager when required.
About the Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant IT, Business, or related field, with recognised enterprise architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF) and knowledge of frameworks such as BIAN, ArchiMate, and Zachman.
- Significant experience in enterprise architecture, strategy, and transformation advisory within consultancy or financial services environments.
- Strong consulting presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and shape strategic architecture decisions.
- Balanced enterprise architecture expertise across business, application, technology, and data domains.
- Deep understanding of cloud, integration, platforms, and modern digital architectures, with awareness of financial services and industry trends.
- Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to bring innovative ideas and insights to clients and the business.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, translating complex concepts into executive-level narratives.
- Proven commercial acumen with experience in building pipeline, winning work, and growing client accounts.
- Experience designing and implementing EA operating models, governance frameworks, and architecture standards.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire teams and develop future leaders, alongside experience with EA tools (e.g. LeanIX, Ardoq, Orbus) and strong consulting maturity.
