Role Overview

This role focuses on shaping, mobilising, and delivering complex technology‑enabled change for clients, applying strong programme, portfolio, and project management disciplines.

You will work across the full delivery lifecycle- from mobilisation and planning through execution, assurance, transition and benefits realisation- bringing structure to complex problems and maintaining a clear focus on outcomes and value.

Depending on your experience, you may lead major workstreams or entire projects, or take wider accountability for complex programmes and portfolios.

At more senior levels, you will advise executive sponsors, assure delivery quality, lead multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to developing both colleagues and long‑term client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and mobilise projects, programmes and workstreams, defining outcomes, scope, delivery approach, governance and measures of success.
  • Establish and manage robust PPM controls, including integrated plans, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, change and benefits.
  • Lead multidisciplinary client, supplier and internal teams, removing blockers, maintaining delivery momentum and holding stakeholders to account for agreed outcomes.
  • Provide clear, concise and decision‑ready reporting, options and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships, offering constructive challenge and supporting stakeholders through competing priorities and delivery trade‑offs.
  • Tailor predictive, Agile and hybrid delivery methods to the specific client context and engagement needs.
  • Anticipate delivery challenges, diagnose root causes and intervene early to maintain or recover delivery performance.
  • Manage delivery quality and commercials (scope, budgets, forecasts, resources) while contributing to proposals, statements of work and continuous improvement of delivery methods.

About the Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or higher) in Computer Science, a technology‑related field, or a business/management‑related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in client‑facing consulting or professional services, with a strong track record delivering technology‑enabled change.
  • Extensive hands‑on delivery management and PPM experience, covering governance, planning, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, change and benefits.
  • Holds a recognised PPM qualification (e. g. MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or Mo P), with commercial awareness and a proactive, outcome‑focused mindset.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects, programmes or workstreams from mobilisation through to implementation.
  • Strong problem‑structuring skills, able to turn ambiguity into practical recommendations and concise, decision‑quality materials.
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders, with the ability to listen, influence, challenge constructively and communicate difficult messages clearly.
  • Solid understanding of predictive, Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, with the ability to tailor them to client and engagement needs.
