As a HR Business Partner, you will join a UK HR team supporting 1,700 employees and leadership teams across 39 specialist businesses. Working as part of a team of 12 in the UK, within a broader People function of 23, you will contribute across the full employee lifecycle to help attract, develop, and retain talent while delivering a high-quality employee experience. You will work alongside HR Operations and Business Partnering teams, both of which play a crucial role in supporting employees and leadership across the organisation. This role supports a business set to double in size over the next two years and is well suited to an experienced HR Advisor, Generalist, or junior Business Partner looking to step into or further develop within a Business Partnering role. The HR team adopts a hands-on approach, meaning you will contribute to operational processes and improvements across HR, and this role is best suited to someone comfortable being involved in both strategic and operational activities. This hybrid-based role is located in London.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business needs, diagnose issues, and develop data-driven HR solutions
  • Manage employee relations cases independently, providing employment law and policy advice
  • Analyse key HR metrics (e.g. engagement, attrition, absence) to identify improvements and measure impact
  • Coach and advise line managers on HR policies and best practices, supporting development of people management skills
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, restructures, and change management initiatives
  • Enhance the employee lifecycle experience, including benefits and engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to HR policy development, continuous improvement, and creation of training materials and toolkits
  • Support HR projects and act as a liaison with HR Operations and Recruitment to ensure effective processes

About the Candidate

  • Several years’ experience as an HR generalist within a commercial environment
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or working towards, with strong knowledge of employment law and policy advisory
  • Extensive Employee Relations experience across the full spectrum, including performance, absence, grievance, disciplinary, redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting a range of stakeholders with diverse needs and working styles
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to deliver a high-quality employee experience
  • Experience developing training, policies, templates, and manager toolkits, alongside project support or management experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and proficiency in business tools, particularly Excel and data literacy
  • Experience in consultancy or matrix environments and knowledge of GDPR is beneficial
  • Knowledge of data protection, and use of GenAI tools to improve effectiveness is advantageous
