As a Graduate Data Engineer joining our Affinity Reply team in London, you will work with our clients in the financial services sector to design and develop high-performance data applications, manage complex data sets, and work across the full development lifecycle. The role offers extensive training and structured career progression.
Start Date: September 2026
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Develop performant data pipelines for batch or real-time data processing.
- Manage end-to-end data platform processes, including extraction, transformation, loading, orchestration, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and governance.
- Research and experiment with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive business value through early adoption.
About the Candidate:
- A minimum 2.1 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a directly related IT discipline is required.
- Strong knowledge of, and initial experience with, handling data projects using SQL and Python.
- Initial experience with cloud warehousing platforms (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake) is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to a wide range of audiences.
- Passion for technology and a strong interest in becoming a Data Engineer.
- Enjoys problem solving with a focus on delivering quality results.
- Strong interest in becoming a consultant and a continuous hunger to learn.
- Flexibility for local business travel.
