As a Data Consultant at Affinity Reply, you will join a team of data specialists focused on designing and delivering data solutions while supporting your professional growth and development. You will support leading financial services clients in building strong data foundations to maximise value while ensuring data is protected and managed in a compliant manner. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to strategic data projects through stakeholder engagement, data analysis, SQL development, and the creation of key data management artefacts. Responsibilities:

  • Support engagements with leading financial services clients, applying knowledge of industry processes and regulatory requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and uncover data-related issues
  • Assist in the delivery of strategic data projects across a range of client initiatives
  • Perform data analysis to identify insights, issues, and opportunities
  • Develop and work with SQL to support data analysis and solution delivery
  • Contribute to the creation of data management artefacts, including data glossaries
  • Support the definition and implementation of data quality rules
  • Assist in documenting data lineage and improving overall data understanding

About the Candidate:

  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical data requirements
  • Ability to work with business and technical stakeholders to identify data issues and impacts
  • Strong hands-on data analysis, including source-to-target mapping and migration documentation
  • Experience documenting data flows, lineage, and creating data artefacts (glossaries, dictionaries)
  • Ability to define and document data quality rules and standards
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation, and analysis
  • Experience creating reports and visualisations for business metrics and KPIs
  • Familiarity with transformation frameworks (e.g. dbt, SQL Mesh) and cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Synapse, Fabric, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Strong communication skills, with experience documenting insights and supporting stakeholder engagement
