Role overview:
We are looking for an IT-focused, analytical professional with expertise in financial reporting and billing within a cloud computing environment, ideally Microsoft Azure. A passion for AI and experience with AI will also be required. This role plays a key part in managing Azure spend, cost optimizations, and financial reporting, while also contributing to change management and IT service improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT background with relevant work experience in cloud computing and a good understanding of Microsoft Azure, cost analysis, and IT service processes. Advanced Excel skills and intermediate Power BI expertise are essential, alongside familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Azure financial and billing reports, including spend tracking, reservation analysis, and savings plan reporting.
- Reviewing cost optimizations and approval processes for Azure spend.
- Generating monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports related to licensing, billing, and cloud cost forecasting.
- Use Power BI and Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) to enhance reporting efficiency for higher management and wider team.
- Exposure to Power Platform tools for automation and reporting enhancements and exposure to Copilot tools and services to improve IT and reporting processes.
- Participate in weekly CAB calls and ensure compliance with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, finance, and leadership to provide financial insights and support renewals, negotiations, and pre-sales.
- Maintain clear documentation for Azure spend approvals, renewals, terminations, and related communications.
About the candidate:
- Proven work experience in an IT or cloud computing-focused role, ideally with an understanding of Microsoft Azure financials and cost management.
- Familiarity with cloud computing financial models and cost forecasting.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (PivotTables, visualizations, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and intermediate Power BI skills (Data modelling, report automation).
- Appreciation and experience toward AI prompt engineering/querying LLMs.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or strong working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM) and experience with IT service processes, including CAB calls and change reviews.
- Any Microsoft and/or ITIL certifications are highly desirable.
- Ability to self-manage tasks and deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting, with strong communication skills for virtual collaboration.
