Embedded Software Engineer | Shannon | Permanent Our client, an established electronics manufacturer, is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop embedded software for its life-safety and connected-home products. Responsibilities Design, develop and test embedded C/C++ software for microcontroller-based products. Develop drivers, communication protocols and system features. Support the integration of wireless technologies, including BLE, Matter, Thread and Wi-Fi. Support hardware bring-up and hardware/software integration. Carry out unit, integration and system-level testing. Investigate defects and perform root-cause analysis. Contribute to design reviews, code reviews and CI/CD practices.Requirements Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. 4+ years' embedded software engineering experience. Strong C and/or C++ programming skills. Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux or bare-metal development. Good knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Comfortable working from datasheets and schematics during board bring-up. Right to work in Ireland.Nice to Have Zephyr or FreeRTOS, and ARM Cortex-M experience. BLE, Matter, Thread or proprietary RF.
