Today, crypto and stablecoins are fragmented across wallets, chains, and assets. Supporting crypto and stablecoin payments requires businesses to take on unnecessary complexity, just as customer demand accelerates across markets. WalletConnect Pay removes this complexity, making crypto and stablecoin payments as reliable and familiar as any payment method businesses already use. WalletConnect Pay is a complete, end‑to‑end payment method that allows businesses to confidently accept crypto and stablecoin payments on the world’s largest wallet network, through a single, future‑ready integration. Built on proven infrastructure that powered over $400B in transaction volume in 2025, we’re enabling crypto and stablecoin payments for PSPs, merchants, and over 500 million users across 700+ wallets.
This is a Senior Product Manager position on the Merchant Experience team within WalletConnect Pay. You’ll work closely with the Head of Product to shape and scale the merchant side of the platform, including the tools and integrations that businesses rely on to accept on‑chain payments. The role sits at the intersection of payments product and crypto native infrastructure. You will own merchant‑facing surfaces end‑to‑end—checkout SDKs, the merchant dashboard, onboarding and KYB, settlement and reporting—helping translate complex protocol primitives into an experience that merchants and their developers can adopt without friction. You will drive discovery work behind the roadmap, talking directly to merchants and integrators to ensure we build what moves their numbers.
Day‑to‑day, you will work in PRDs, dashboards, and discovery calls; pair directly with design and engineering leads; and hold the line on metrics such as merchant activation, integration time‑to‑first‑transaction, checkout conversion, and settlement reliability. You will own the merchant outcomes of what you ship, including instrumentation, qualitative signal and the feedback loop back into the roadmap. You will work closely with BD, compliance, and the consumer wallet teams as merchant needs evolve.
Requirements- Own the merchant dashboard end‑to‑end. Define how merchants interact with WalletConnect Pay services.
- Design experiences and features around merchant needs, shaping the primary surface where merchants manage their payments business.
- Design the merchant onboarding journey. Take onboarding from a hands‑on, multi‑week process to a self‑serve experience that builds merchant confidence from first signup to first live payment, in partnership with our network of licensed off‑ramp providers.
- Build merchant trust through payment visibility. Own the tools and experiences that make every payment transparent, every settlement trackable, and auditable.
- Own the PSP partner experience. Define how PSP aggregators and enterprise partners bring entire merchant networks onto the platform.
- Define how they integrate, provision merchants at scale, and configure settlement.
- Ship the developer experience merchants expect. Provide testing, integration, and go‑live tooling that makes WalletConnect Pay as fast to adopt as any modern payment platform, closing gaps that slow merchants down.
- Define enterprise integration patterns. Translate POS partners, aggregators, and direct merchants’ differing capabilities into repeatable platform capabilities so the platform scales with every new partner type.
- Own the merchant success funnel. Define and measure the full merchant lifecycle from signup through sustained usage, identifying where merchants thrive, where they struggle, and what to build next.
- Own the product side of new customer onboarding. Work directly with Business Development and Partnerships to land integrations, serving as the product voice in customer conversations and translating merchant requirements into specs and shipping timelines.
- Define and maintain integration playbooks. Codify the steps from initial partner call to first live payment, reducing time‑to‑live by identifying recurring blockers and removing them from the critical path.
- Coordinate cross‑functionally to ship customer‑impacting launches. Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Marketing, and Partnerships on merchant features.
- Turn partner feedback into product improvements. Join partner calls, understand integration friction, and convert recurring support patterns into platform capabilities and developer documentation.
- Set direction for the Merchant Experience squad. Join forces with an Engineering Manager to define quarterly priorities, break ambiguous initiatives into phased delivery plans, and coordinate dependencies across the full WalletConnect Pay platform.
- 7+ years in product or engineering management building merchant‑facing, B2B, or platform products.
- You’ve shipped APIs that external developers integrate against, dashboards that operators rely on daily, and onboarding flows that convert at scale.
- Payments, fintech, or e‑commerce infrastructure experience. You understand settlement flows, reconciliation, KYB/KYC compliance, the difference between a payment and a payout, and merchant concerns about settlement timing.
- API and platform product experience. You’ve defined or significantly shaped developer‑facing APIs, managed breaking changes, designed webhook systems, or built sandbox/test environments.
- Web3 experience is NOT required but it’s a plus. We value fresh perspectives from people who bring proven expertise.
- Apply AI tools as a core workflow, using LLMs, code assistants, or agents to accelerate research, spec writing, data analysis, and prototyping.
- Senior empathy for merchant operations, thinking like a merchant reconciling settlements, a finance lead auditing payments, and an integration engineer debugging webhook signatures.
- Spec‑driven and architecturally literate. Write specs that engineering trusts, understand API versioning trade‑offs, read code when needed, and engage directly in technical architecture decisions.
- Convert complexity into clarity. Take a system with multiple settlement modes, multiple off‑ramp providers, per‑payment routing overrides, and cascading merchant configurations and make it approachable in a dashboard and predictable in an API.
What We Offer: Fully remote position with a budget for your home office or work environment. Regular team offsites to incredible locations around the world. Opportunities to travel to conferences and community events. Generous PTO and parental leave. Meaningful Learning & Development budget. Competitive compensation package including salary, equity, and potentially tokens. Healthcare coverage for US‑based team members. The chance to build at the forefront of onchain payments with one of the most recognised companies in Web3.
