We are looking for a junior UX researcher who is passionate about user research and usability testing to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting senior UX Consultants deliver projects on behalf of our clients, as well as help shape and expand our research lab and facilities. The successful candidate will have a background and real passion for UX research, they will be ambitious and keen to develop quickly as the team grows.
Key Responsibilities
- As a junior UX researcher you will be working closely on a day-to-day basis with our clients and internal teams conducting UX research projects that help deliver innovative outcomes for our clients.
- To begin with, while you build up your experience you will focus mainly on scoping and shaping both in lab and remote user research while supporting senior UX Consultants with the analysis.
- As quickly as possible you will start to moderate your own sessions, with the aim of fast tracking you to be a UX Consultant capable of delivering end-to-end user research autonomously.
You will:
- Have a passion for UX research as well as an entrepreneurial desire to evolve your knowledge and expertise.
- Have some knowledge of usability research methods and qualitative data analysis techniques.
- Be technically competent with some experience of remote and lab-based usability testing technologies such as User Zoom and eye-tracking (tobii).
- Be the UX Lab technician overseeing hardware and software configurations for a variety of UX research projects (eye tracking, facial recognition etc); training will be provided.
- Be comfortable presenting to stakeholders to represent the voice of the customer.
- Work closely with our recruitment partners to ensure that suitable participants are sourced.
Requirements & Personal Characteristics
- Degree in HCI, Usability, Psychology or a closely related discipline (desirable).
- Experience of working within an agency (desirable).
- Some knowledge and/or a keen interest in learning UX Design principles.
- Some experience of wire-framing and prototyping.
- Experience of conducting usability testing, moderating, user interviews and running workshops.
- Data-driven, commercially minded and a problem solver.
- Experience of DX Analytics, session recording platforms and other CX tools (desirable).
- Have outstanding personal and communications skills both internally and externally.
- Be detail oriented.
- Comfortable presenting to an audience.
- Problem Solving Skills and presence of mind.
- A person that demands respect and attention where required without offence.
