About the Role

Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Manager to join their team. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong regional presence, so applicants must be based in either Yorkshire or Surrey. This position is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware professional who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing a team, and delivering high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of management accounts for a varied client portfolio
  • Overseeing the production of statutory financial year-end accounts
  • Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi-senior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting team members to aid their development
  • Providing proactive advice and insights to clients to support their business growth
  • Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong experience with management accounts and year-end accounts preparation/review
  • Experience managing a client portfolio independently
  • Previous experience overseeing or managing a team and reviewing work
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
