Join Our Team and Make a Difference! We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Asbestos - Site Auditor and Trainer to join our DCUK Central Team. This is a field-based role covering the south / south east but with national travel. The Role
Reporting directly to the Compliance Director, your role will be vital in maintaining our HSE licence and ensuring absolute health and safety compliance across our active project sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Rigorous Site Auditing: Conducting thorough on-site compliance assessments of active jobs on a regular basis, including high-profile and secure locations such as Electricity North West (ENW) and National Grid sites.
- RAMS Governance: Carrying out regular peer reviews and quality governance of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to support our HSE licence.
- Expert Training Delivery: Delivering UKATA Asbestos training to internal teams, providing Fit2Fit Face Fit tests, and assessing/delivering NVQ qualifications.
- Cross-Functional Safety Training: Delivering non-asbestos training modules, including Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels courses.
- Relationship Building: Reviewing on-site documentation and discussing works with site personnel, building a strong, professional rapport with Contract Managers, Supervisors, and clients.
Requirements
Required Experience & Competencies:
- Industry Background: Essential experience in an auditing role within the licensed asbestos industry, with extensive knowledge of working alongside regulators (HSE).
- Training Expertise: Proven experience delivering UKATA Asbestos Training and providing consultative advice to internal teams and external customers.
- Key Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and strong IT literacy.
- Corporate Mobility: A full UK driving licence is required for this field-based role.
Note: You will be required to pass a satisfactory DBS check for this role.
Formal Education & Qualifications:
- P405 Asbestos Certificate (or equivalent) – Essential
- Fully conversant in relevant health & safety legislation relating to asbestos – Essential
- UKATA Approved Trainer – Preferred
- WAMITAB Level 4 (Oversight of an Asbestos Waste Transfer Station) – Preferred and/or willing to complete NEBOSH Certificate – Preferred
- NVQ Assessor Qualification – Preferred
- Fit2Fit Accreditation – Preferred
- Train the Trainer Qualification – Preferred
