As a Credit Control Advisor, you will be responsible for maximising the collection of debt, while ensuring that the debtor days are reduced in line with company targets. We are currently seeking a Credit Control Advisor to join our dedicated team at the Dudley office. If you have previous experience working in a collections environment and can support enhancing the credit control function, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
- Debt management and collection of customer accounts
- Responsibility for your section of the ledger
- Achieving agreed collection targets
- Providing reports on the performance of accounts
- Controlling and monitoring the daily debt
- Monitoring cash allocation and proposing corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
- Escalating serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager
- Providing an excellent level of customer service
- Resolving all business queries within agreed timeframes
- Ad hoc administration duties
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years experience within a collections environment
- ICM qualification would be advantageous
- Ability to initiate and facilitate continuous improvements
- Work to strict timeframes
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Pivot tables
- Understanding of audit controls
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Good organisation skills
