Role Overview

The Network Engineer (EMEA & APAC) is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across virtual regional data centers and physical branch offices.

Operating within an ITIL-driven framework, this role balances Network Operations (Net Ops) tier-2/3 incident resolution with Network Engineering project delivery, including SD-WAN migrations and Cloud Security rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Incident Resolution & Tier-2/3 Escalation
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for the Level 1 Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Diagnose complex network performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and outages to maintain high availability.
  • 2. Infrastructure Deployment & Branch Engineering
  • Lead remote staging, configuration, and provisioning of branch networking hardware.
  • Provide remote technical leadership to field engineers during physical rack-and-stack, cabling, and patching phases.
  • 3. Project Engineering & Cloud Migrations
  • Implement network designs provided by Global Network Architecture teams.
  • Execute enterprise rollouts for Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture.
  • 4. Network Security & Compliance
  • Execute lifecycle patching, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation across all network hardware.
  • Conduct automated and manual configuration audits to ensure 100% compliance with enterprise security baselines.
  • 5. Proactive Maintenance & Capacity Planning
  • Monitor network telemetry and system health to identify and resolve performance degradation before impact.
  • Technical Stack & Hardware Profile
  • Routing & Switching: Cisco Switches, Aruba Switching, Velo Cloud SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF
  • Network Security: Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cloudflare SASE / Zero Trust, IPsec VPN
  • Wireless (WLAN): Aruba Wireless, Aerohive Access Points, Wi-Fi 6
  • Virtualization & SDN: VMware NSX (Microsegmentation), Ivanti Traffic Managers (ADC/Load Balancing)
  • Core Network Services: DNS, DHCP, Proxy Servers, IPAM

Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated professional experience in a regional Network Operations (Net Ops) or Network Engineering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT governance, compliance, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Preferred Certifications
  • Networking: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Comp TIA Network+, or Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ASCA).
  • IT Service Management: ITIL® Foundation Certification in IT Service Management.
