We currently have an internal promotional opportunity for an Area Operations Manager covering Area 5 for a 12-month Secondment. If you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Local Operations Manager role and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, operational role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

This operational management role focuses on leading and managing a team of Local Operations Managers within a specific area. You will ensure the area meets the financial and service delivery targets within the framework of People, Service and Profit in line with the company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of staff and overseeing recruitment, absences and HR responsibilities
  • Maintaining staffing levels
  • Ensuring the team meet the contractual obligations and service targets of our customers
  • Overseeing training, coaching, performance reviews and team meetings for Local Technicians and Surveyors carried out by LOMs
  • Overseeing succession planning and colleague development
  • Managing high profile and high value customer accounts
  • Working to meet deadlines and customer expectations
  • Overseeing customer retention and growing the portfolio of customers
  • Reviewing and producing required data and financials, while analysing this information to manage risk and make informed decisions
  • Meeting financial targets set by the company
  • Ensuring full health and safety compliance and develop strategies to assist with this if required
  • Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
  • Solid exposure within the Pest Control industry
  • Completed the Level 2 RSPH or BPCA
  • Must have worked a minimum of 2 years in a Local Operations Manager role
  • Self-motivated and an excellent problem solver
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Resilient with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet business targets
  • Proven ability to deliver results and act commercially
  • Good people management skills
