This individual will manage a £30m+ portfolio of business with a sales growth goal of £5m+ min each year once established in the role. Additionally, this individual will be responsible to profitably negotiate customer contract renewals inclusive of improving contract terms whilst achieving the companies’ project 90 objective for both the Pest & Hygiene & Wellbeing categories.
To be a key contact for international customers in their nominated accounts, and to help and facilitate them in their relationship with Rentokil Initial in all its complexity and regional structures. The role can be based anywhere but will be ideally based at one of our country head offices. The job will involve very close liaison with the National Accounts teams in countries.
Key Accountabilities
- Growth focus through leveraging LAMP concepts to broaden customer relationships and target sales opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Develop and implement customised business plans to identify growth opportunities and harvest business through an intentional strategy.
- Focus on profitability through the use of tools to measure profit and the development of targeted strategies to make deals better/more profitable through renewal negotiations and customer discussion.
- Responsible for retention of existing customer base through negotiating proactive renewals/extensions of agreements.
- Responsible for relationship wellness through ongoing risk assessments and customer satisfaction measurements and the development of action plans to course correct customer concerns.
- Ensure standard Global Account process is used for all global customer contract renewals.
- Expand customers across country boundaries through championing International approach.
- Ensure that local country management teams are inputting to, supporting and buying into the account plans for nominated accounts managed.
- Champion cross-selling initiatives and programs across the Group with a focus on International customer opportunities.
- Commercial acumen to support successful contract renegotiation of International contracts to ensure revenue quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 -5 years account management, customer care or operations experience preferably in the B2B service industry.
- Focus customer interactions on intentional objective based discussions using business reviews or other strategic channels to discuss the success of the partnership and the opportunities to expand/grow the relationship.
- Use Miller Heiman (LAMP) methodologies to assess and develop plans to broaden and deepen existing customer relationships to facilitate growth discussions.
- Utilise existing profitability measurement tools to assess and develop strategies to proactively renew business and improve profitability.
- Utilise tools to measure relationship wellness in an effort to get in front of situations that could create serious risk. These measures include risk assessments and ongoing customer satisfaction measurements to provide an opportunity to develop action plans to course correct customer concerns.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in working with sales colleagues across multiple countries and regions.
- Advanced skills in relations to Microsoft / Google and other IT systems.
- Willing to undertake International travel (30%).
- Fluency in English with a second language preferred.
