The Role
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing asbestos removal, encapsulation, and environmental cleaning within the Utilities Sector.
- Adhering strictly to the issued Plans of Work, current UK legislation, comprehensive specifications, and the DCUK FM Ltd Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety guidelines.
- Following directives from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
- Ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and care of all provided Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protective Equipment, and Asbestos Removal plant and equipment, immediately reporting any malfunctions or defects.
Requirements:
- 1 year working in an asbestos removal environment preferred
- Full UK Drivers Licence is preferred but not mandatory
- Asbestos Awareness training is preferred but not mandatory
- CSCS Red card preferred
- Level 2 NVQ preferred
- You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
Schedule:
Working days are Monday – Friday. Overtime is available at the weekends subject to requirements. 40 hour working week as standard – some projects may require a 50 hour working week. Working hours as below:
- 40-hour week standard, (0800-1630, includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
- 50-hour week available on certain projects, (0800-1830, includes 30-minute unpaid lunch).
