The main purpose of this role is to plan service work within your branch to ensure that branch targets are met and process all relevant paperwork. The successful candidate will act as a point of contact for both service personnel and customers. Liaison will also be required with the sales team in order to schedule jobs and discuss the information on survey reports.
Duties and Responsibilities for this Service Controller role:
- Produce and send a weekly programme of work for each of the service personnel
- Liaise with customers to book service work (as required by the customer)
- Check and input time sheet details onto the branch system
- Check service personnel expense forms and overtime claims
- A service weekly forecast should be prepared in conjunction with the Service Manager and/or the Branch Manager
- Act as a point of branch contact for service personnel
- Deal with customer service related queries in an efficient manner
- Forward any sales enquiries to the branch sales team.
- Compile service reports and any other reporting material required by the National Accounts Department
- Prior to month end, ensure that the charging arrangements are correct for all, emergency calls, special disinfection work etc
- Complete all service monitoring required
- Ensure copies of hazard assessments and work details are provided to service personnel before they commence work on a customer’s premise.
- Arrange for the availability of materials/preparations/chemicals required for the service staff to carry out their work
To be eligible for this Service Controller Role you must have:
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer experience
- Previous experience in working in a fast paced office environment & under pressure
- Microsoft proficient
- Strong organisational skills and effectively manage and prioritise workload
- Willingness to learn new computer systems
- Ability to communicate at all levels with a confident telephone manner
- Ability to work in difficult situations and able to resolve
- Route Planning/Optimisation is desirable but not essential
