A fantastic opportunity for a graduate, with a keen interest in all things Finance, to work in a growing and fast paced FTSE 100 company. You will be exposed to the funding and financial risk management of a business that operates in 90 countries worldwide, covering approximately 90% of global GDP. Performing a wide range of functions, the role sits under the Treasury Controller supporting the Group Treasury team as well as working closely with the Financial Reporting department. This is a fantastic entry level opportunity with prospects to move across the business in the long term. The role will directly support the Senior Treasury Accountant in all tasks that contribute to the preparation of financial accounts and wider controls related to the Treasury function.
Responsibilities
- Monthly Reporting: Accounting and reconciliation of banks and instruments (deposits, money market funds) for the Treasury companies.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts (MMAs) and statutory accounts for at least 4 companies.
- Assist with preparation of valuation reports (Foreign Exchange, Cross Currency Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Options).
- Assist with preparation of FX exposure (IAS21) and Treasury Committee reporting.
- SOX controls: Execute SOX controls accurately and on time, resulting in zero control failures or deficiencies during internal or external testing.
- Standardise SOX control documentation and streamline processes to address requirements set out in the Group RACM.
- Systems administration and payment controls: Maintain static data accurately to ensure smooth operations across Treasury front and back office functions.
- Responsible for bank portals and treasury management system administration and approvals.
- Responsible for accurate and timely settlement of treasury trades and payments.
Required Experience
- Interest in all things systems is important – accounting and finance technology tools (treasury management systems, ERP systems).
- Exposure to systems improvement projects will be an advantage.
- Use of Microsoft and Google products at an intermediate level will be beneficial.
- Prior experience of treasury, accounting and cash management in a large corporate environment is an advantage but not a requirement.
