The Engineering Technician Role
As a Engineering Technician, your role is to ensure all plant and equipment are maintained to a good standard and according to manufacturers specification, utilising your skills when carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work.
- To comply with all health, safety, environmental and legal legislation in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- To ensure that the expected efficiencies and quality standards relative to the engineering department are met.
- To comply with all training requirements in relation to carrying out the duties of the engineering department.
- Ensures pre-planned maintenance of operating equipment is carried out effectively and efficiently and records work carried out onto the maintenance log.
- To ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures within your tasks are complied and fully maintained.
- Level 3 BTECqualified or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Computer literate with some basic knowledge of Chrome.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work and best practice.
- High levels of self discipline and resilience to manage a demanding work load.
- Experience in the FMCG based industry as a maintenance or project engineer would be an advantage.
