Are you a newly qualified accountant looking to take the exciting first step in your post-qualification career? Rentokil Initial is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Treasury Accountant to join our Global Finance team in Crawley on a hybrid basis. This role offers an exceptional platform for a recently qualified professional to transition into a FTSE 100 environment. Working alongside our Senior Treasury Accountant, you will gain comprehensive exposure to global financial reporting, high-level risk management, and treasury systems. You will play a hands-on role in ensuring our group transactions are compliant, accurately reported, and seamlessly executed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting & Technical Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting into Cognos for Group entities. Draft half-year and year-end statutory reports, contributing directly to disclosure notes for the Annual Report and Interim Statements. Ensure transaction integrity across our core ERP (Dynamics 365 Business Central), Treasury Management System (Kyriba), and reporting software. Record and monitor monthly mark-to-market (MTM) valuations for financial derivatives.
  • Governance, Compliance & Controls: Maintain strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards and internal accounting controls. Complete monthly balance sheet and complex multi-currency bank reconciliations, building clear audit trails. Monitor compliance with internal treasury frameworks and manage regulatory trade repository submissions.
  • Commercial Analysis & Operations: Prepare board-level presentation slides for the monthly Treasury Committee pack, including calculating semi-annual WACC. Review and approve static data and transactions within Kyriba. Provide operational Back Office support to Front Office teams and manage global banking portal administration.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Newly qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent). Candidates coming directly from accounting practice or a corporate scheme are highly encouraged to apply. An AMCT qualification is a bonus, but not required.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid grounding in financial reporting standards (IFRS / UK GAAP) and a clear understanding of core control frameworks.
  • Adaptable Mindset: A proactive problem-solver eager to learn treasury operations, optimize processes, and build on their existing core accounting skills.
  • Systems Capability: Tech-savvy with strong Excel skills. Prior exposure to ERPs (e.g., Business Central), reporting tools (e.g., Cognos), or Treasury systems (e.g., Kyriba) is advantageous, though full system training will be provided.
  • Communication: Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical financial data to senior finance leaders.
