This position will play a significant role in supporting both aspects of this ambition by driving activities across the Group that will continue to improve the quality and performance of managers and leaders at all levels and supporting the development of talent to ensure Rentokil Initial has the capabilities and skills it needs to compete and win both now and in the future.

This position, whilst managing a small content creation team and L&D advisor/specialist, will also be hands-on and expected to deliver and create training and facilitate workshops and other interventions. The position will manage the LMS supplier relationship and, in conjunction with HRIS operational support, take ownership of the digital learning platform and the design and delivery of digital development programs and pathways that meet the needs of the regional operations; closely aligned to skills.

This position will need to feel comfortable throughout the whole training cycle, from training needs analysis, content creation, programme co-ordination, facilitation and delivery through to assessment and ROI evaluation. Working in a devolved global model, the group functions as a CoE and this role will support the regions with best practice guidance and learning advisory expertise. It will need to stay up to date with the changing future needs of the organisation and L&D industry to ensure we can deliver fit for purpose interventions at the right scale in partnership with our talent and development colleagues out in the field/operations, that meet the changing needs of the future workforce in the most efficient, cost-effective way, delivering a real return on investment.

The role will have exposure to and work closely with all levels within the business and would therefore suit somebody with the assurance and judgement to operate at all levels. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the design, creation and delivery of training modules, courses and programmes that support the capability needs of the business through the development of skills pathways in areas that are critical to the delivery of Rentokil Initial’s strategy e.g. digital, innovation, collaboration, resilience, negotiation etc.
  • Build a career mapping framework to support career development within the organisation/link with skill development work as needed.
  • Drive improvements to Rentokil Initial’s performance management process, ensuring managers are equipped to hold developmental conversations with their teams that improve performance across individuals and teams.
  • Manage the Group level reporting to the ELT and process readiness on an annual basis.
  • Play a lead role in the shaping and implementation of initiatives that improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Rentokil Initial, with a specific focus on improving gender and ethnic minority representation in managerial roles.
  • Lead the U+ team who deliver virtual and system based learning solutions to the organisation through the Cornerstone platform ensuring we are using the learning module of the cornerstone system to its full potential, adding value to the organisation.
  • Business partner with the regional learning and development leads and HRDs to understand learning needs and offer solutions as applicable and to ensure they are utilising cornerstone to its fullest potential.
  • Provide Data analytics to the regions and to Group Leadership as part of the Employer of Choice initiative.
  • Define how to use available data analytics to provide additional insight to the business in relation to learning and development as its lever as a retention and attraction tool.
RequirementsRequired Experience
  • Significant experience in a high performing talent and/or learning team (in particular global is highly desirable) that is seen as value adding; can personally demonstrate a track record of deliverables that have made a significant impact on the business.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Cornerstone Platform or similar enterprise LMS, its delivery and reporting capabilities. Has a track record of using that to deliver both learning and learning analytics to the business.
  • Extensive experience in design and delivery of training and development activities, with very strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience of training needs analysis and expertise in the diagnosis and design of learning and development interventions.
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to develop a strong skills strategy to support a global agenda, including development of skills pathways and career pathways.
  • Has worked internationally in a highly matrixed environment with a strong requirement to collaborate and influence extensively to get things done.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail. Able to plan and execute multiple initiatives and manage multiple projects at the same time. Able to plan and manage budgets.
  • Strong coaching skills with experience coaching teams and individuals at all levels across a range of development areas e.g. career and development planning, performance improvement, leadership effectiveness, building resilience, personal impact etc.
  • Experience and demonstrable interest for the development of HR technology to deliver and support learning, for example AI application.
