The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

Provide support to the Accountant and maintain accounting records for a number of Group cost centers. Provide accounting support ensuring that all transactions are reviewed and approved in a timely manner and in line with policy.

Main Tasks:

  • Support the month-end process for Central Overheads, including monthly accruals/prepayments and journals in line with the relevant accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet.
  • Maintain and reconcile tangible assets and Soft 4 database.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts for RI 1927 PLC Co 1000 by WD6.
  • Support the production of the monthly reporting packs for Legal, Co Sec Finance & Property cost centre managers.
  • Support the production of the quarterly slide deck and associated summaries for the Finance and Legal quarterly business review.
  • Prepare, maintain and reconcile cashbook for RI 1927 PLC Barclays account on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation of less complex MMAs for month-end.
  • Assist with audit queries.

Ad hoc/Other:

  • Preparation of detailed process notes, including highlighting the controls, across all areas of the Reporting team.
  • Additional responsibilities as required on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

  • Studying for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • A-Level or equivalent in a numerical subject is essential.
  • Prior experience of accounting in a large corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Some experience in financial reporting and application of GAAP and IFRS is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of accounting and finance technology tools (e.g. Excel and ERP systems).
