We are currently seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our dedicated team at the Birmingham branch, covering Birmingham/Worcester/Milton Keynes/Coventry and the surrounding areas. The Apprentice Technician Role
As an Apprentice Technician, you will be mentored by an experienced Technician to gain the knowledge, skills and experience you will need to excel. You will then be able to progress to a Technician by the end of your apprenticeship. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out preservation works on site which could include stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows
- Supporting with damp proofing and removing of wall coatings including plaster, woodworm treatments, wall tie installation and cavity drain membrane installation
- Offering valuable advice to customers and providing a high level of service
- Adhering to all risk assessments and health & safety measures on-site
- Ensuring any sites are left clean and tidy
- Completing other required tasks within the branch as required
What does an apprenticeship look like with Peter Cox?
0-12 months: In your first year, you\βll work with a mentor to learn the skills needed to excel as a Property Services Technician. You\βll also join our Internal Customer Services Apprenticeship Scheme to develop essential skills.
12-36 months: After completing the Customer Service Apprenticeship and obtaining your driving licence, you\βll work as a full Technician. Once you meet our standards and can work independently, you\βll be assessed by an external body. If you pass, you\βll earn an NVQ in joinery or plastering, based on business needs and your preference.

- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Interest in working within the construction/ property industry
- Demonstrate a good level of communication skills
- Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs
- You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
