We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our dedicated team at the Dudley office. If you have prior experience working in a collections environment and can help to improve the credit control function, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maximising the collection of debt while ensuring that debtor days are reduced in line with company targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Debt management and collection of customer accounts
  • Responsibility for your section of the ledger
  • Achieving agreed collection targets
  • Providing reports on the performance of accounts
  • Controlling and monitoring the daily debt
  • Monitoring cash allocation and proposing corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
  • Escalating serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service
  • Resolving all business queries within agreed timeframes
  • Ad hoc administration duties

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years experience within a collections environment
  • ICM qualification would be advantageous
  • Ability to initiate and facilitate continuous improvements
  • Work to strict timeframes
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Pivot tables
  • Understanding of audit controls
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good organisation skills
