Role
We are seeking an IT Operations Technician to join a busy IT function and provide hands-on operational support across day-to-day technical activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical IT experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting both technical teams and end users. You will play a key role in device configuration, fault diagnosis, asset management, logistics, and project support, helping to ensure the smooth running of IT operations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Configure and image Windows devices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues
- Manage stock control, including accurate recording of stock in/out
- Oversee warranty repairs and equipment returns
- Maintain accurate asset management records
- Update IT tickets with clear and relevant information
- Support onsite engineers and assist with technical tasks as required
- Contribute to IT projects and wider departmental initiatives
- Carry out administrative duties to ensure efficient workshop operations
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including remote support and infrastructure
- Assist with maintenance of the field van fleet
- Undertake additional duties to support daily IT operations as needed
Requirements
To be successfully shortlisted for the IT Technician position, you will present previous experience in the IT industry, ideally within operations or procurement.
In Addition To This We Would Expect To See:
- Basic technical knowledge of IT systems and hardware
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong initiative
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
