They currently work with numerous high-profile multinational companies, delivering a specialist service that requires exceptional operational and procurement support to their on-site teams. An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and customer-focused Logistics Manager to support a customer program with an annual spend of approximately £3.5M.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate purchasing, customer service, vendor relationships, and warehousing activities in line with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Work closely with customers to enhance and expand program services while building strong relationships with key managers and plant staff.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer operations to support and improve program delivery.
- Monitor program performance and prepare monthly reports covering cost, sales, service, quality, and improvement initiatives.
- Generate and implement value-added and cost-saving ideas to support customer objectives. Ensure cost-saving initiatives meet or exceed annual contractual targets.
- Identify operational issues and recommend effective solutions and process improvements.
- Oversee on-site human resource management responsibilities.
- Train customers and employees on operational systems and processes.
- Resolve customer payment and billing issues efficiently.
- Coordinate technical support activities and vendor engagement, including new product launches and service enhancements.
- Investigate customer concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory databases and oversee physical inventory and cycle count processes.
- 3–5 years’ experience in Inventory or Storeroom Management.
- Combination of education and practical experience preferred.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive management style.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Valid driver’s license required.
