This role will support laboratory services and projects at the UK Oxford Vertex facility in Milton Park. The role will collaborate with our operations team, engineering resources, and customer stakeholders. This position reports to the UK Operations Leader.
What you will do- Support asset, install/commissioning, moving and decommissioning strategy that is aligned with critical projects and deliverables.
- Facilitate all areas of general Asset Life Cycle Management Processes.
- Support asset life cycle activities stay within prescribed budget targets.
- Facilitate site readiness for asset install operations.
- Manage and maintain master equipment, spares and supplies inventory list.
- Execute the decontamination, decommissioning, packing/crating, recommissioning of existing lab equipment, computerized systems and supplies, plus installation and commissioning of new lab equipment (final scope TBD).
- Facilitate continuous improvement of asset life cycle processes.
- Manage and track assigned Work Orders in CMMS.
- Manage and supervise third party contractor visitors.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
This role will also support site strategic operations initiatives and other projects.
Scientific Services- Facilitate site wide incubator performance assessment.
- Oversee cold storage defrost program.
- Oversee/organise environmental monitoring device, incubator sample dispenser, and pipette calibrations.
- Facilitate dispensing robot volume verification.
- Project management experience (PMP preferred).
- Ability to multitask and self-motivate.
- Lab equipment management experience (preferred).
- MS Project knowledge.
- Understanding of how to manage vendors.
- Proven ability to develop a project plan.
- Awareness of general Decommissioning and Recommissioning requirements for laboratory equipment.
- Understanding of UK regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- BSc. or equivalent required.
- Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
