Renolit UK Limited is a leading manufacturer of high‑quality exterior PVC window films and interior kitchen films, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for residential and commercial applications. With a focus on excellence in product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance Engineering team working a 7‑day shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical support to ensure that the manufacturing process, facilities and services are managed and maintained to a high standard.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure a reliable manufacturing process.
- Perform calibration validation and corrections on equipment such as load cells and temperature controllers.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and supporting equipment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, using a CMMS system.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, including permits to work, pre‑work risk assessment and method statements, LOTO, ATEX.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Provide engineering support to the production process when required to improve machine output and rectify processing issues.
- Work alongside the on‑site project department to develop new/improved electrical control systems.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Relevant experience in PLC and drive configuration, preferably Siemens.
- Experience with AC/DC drives (primarily Siemens & ABB).
- Knowledge/experience of tension control systems.
- Bus network systems (Profibus, Profinet).
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical circuits, with the ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Proficient in fault‑finding and installation of large production machines and domestic/commercial installations.
- Able to produce electrical panels from wiring/schematic drawings.
- 18th Edition and CompEx qualifications would be advantageous.
- Work on own initiative with a willingness to multi‑skill.
This role is UK based and starting employment will be conditional on the candidate's right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship by Renolit UK is not available.
