We currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer who will manage the technical, operational, and financial aspects of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to technical specifications. The role will act as the central coordinator between teams, clients, and contractors, applying technical expertise to solve problems, mitigate risks, and ensure site safety and compliance from start to finish.
Your tasks at RENOLIT:
- Control and report on nominated projects from concept to commissioning, against an agreed programme and budget, ensuring that projects satisfy the objectives set.
- Prepare and present proposals for potential capital projects with cost justifications and report progress on current projects.
- Review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Liaise with manufacturing functions to ensure that projects comply with the requirements of production and the company’s recognised safety standards.
- Proactive role in the identification of process improvements and a resource to develop quality, machine efficiency, and safety levels.
- Assess the suitability of potential sub-contractors in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. Subsequently appoint and control sub-contractors ensuring their work meets our factory standards, safety regulations, and complies with CDM regulations where applicable.
- Proficient in general engineering design and fully capable in producing and understanding a wide range of 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Use of design software such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Advise the Purchasing and/or Maintenance Engineering Teams on spares requirements for new plant including anticipated minimum stock levels required.
What we expect:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a HNC/HND with relevant experience considered.
- Project engineering experience with a background in design/drawing office works and capital projects.
- The position requires good communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and present proposals for potential capital projects with cost justifications and report progress on current projects.
- Proficient in general engineering design and fully capable in producing and understanding a wide range of engineering drawings.

- Starting salary of £45,000.
